Though never a member of the BBB, I'm involved in a matter in Palm Beach County where the BBB chanced into the picture.

You'd do well to look into sales for the BBB, separate corporations that are paid over half the first year's membership fee. In the case of Palm Beach, the company, S&S Marketing, working strictly for BBB, has an A rating.

With leads coming from headquarters, these are slick marketing operations: 100 calls a day required of its "1099 employees," who are expected to keep company hours. The best 1099 employees make some 20 sales per month.

Earning potential for all is good, with $1,000,000 possible income per year for S&S's principal. These sales corporations form a buffer between the insulated BBB and members,

I'm presently entering into arbitration over a blatant injustice done from a "BBB Accredited Business" since 2004. After reading through your website, I see that I have no chance in winning the case. It really is an open and shut case (in small claims court), but I chose arbitration instead. It probably wouldn't matter either way. The guy is a self-employed bum, anyway who owns very little. He invests $400 a year to be put up on a pedestal by the BBB. I was one of those who thought the BBB was backed by government funding. Pretty sad when consumer advocacy groups are also capitalistic predators.
We need more people like you dedicated to expose these frauds for what they are. Thank you for doing what you do!

Nice job. Welcome to the party against the BBB. Please get in touch if you are so inclined; I think there are some things we can help each other with in our fight to expose the truth about the Better Business Bureau.

From the start, we concentrated on building a business that provides the best service in our industry.
We worked 12 hours a day 7 days a week for years to build a great family business.
Like most Americans, we had the wrong impression, that the “good old BBB” is somehow a part of, or affiliated to, the USA government, and therefore can be trusted.
O boy, we were so wrong!

Our company is unfortunately under the jurisdiction of the Florida franchise: Better Business Bureau of Palm Beach County Inc. A/K/A BBB of Southeast Florida and the Caribbean
Over the years, through hard work our business grew substantially.
We started to have issues with the Better Business Bureau of Palm Beach County Inc. We tried effortlessly to correct the misinformation about us as advertized by the BBB.

No matter how hard we tried, our efforts were met with apathy, laziness and incompetency of the BBB’s employees.
We tried to help the BBB correct their records.
Most of the corrections (some as simple as wrong licensing information, yearly turn over, number of employees, number of customers) were not done and those done were delayed for months.
We spent hours explaining the nature of our business.
The BBB’s employees are supposed to have the ability to understand businesses and judge if a complaint is valid or not in order to provide unbiased and reliable grading.
Without this ability, the grading of the businesses is false, thereby, doing a great injustice to the business community and totally misleading the general public.
To our great disappointment, we found the BBB’s employees lacking the required qualification and the ability to understand and make simple business judgments.
To our great horror, we also found that they did not care, treated us as intruders and an annoying disturbance.

Our personal experience confirms all that Congresswoman Corrine Brown stated and worse.
We fully support Congresswoman Corrine Brown and intend to address our Representative, hoping she will join forces with Congresswoman Corrine Brown on this issue.
We hope more businesses will take active action in order to restrain the BBB from carrying on with its unconstitutional, dishonest and dubious way of conducting its business.
